EIT- E-learning Module - English language for Information Technology Specialists
EIT - English for IT - is a free online English language learning portal specially developed by the project partners for IT students and specialists. It also suits everyone who would like to improve their skills in IT English.
The learning portal presents English lessons at the elementary and post-elementary levels of English.
The EIT e-learning tool was designed as a 1-year learning programme offering daily language learning and practise activities. It covers a wide range of IT topics and English language and communication skills. The portal can be used both by independent learners and universities, colleges, language schools, adult language and professional training centres.
The EIT project team aimed at creating an attractive, user-friendly learning environment and easy to follow course structure: the whole EIT course is divided into 12 virtual months, each about different IT topic, and each week in a month includes 7 different lessons dealing with different language skills. Besides, the course has additional features which can be used in face-to-face and online learning: web conferences, case studies, glossaries of IT terms and general English, forums and chats.
